Yoga of 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) combines the tools of a 12-step program with a peaceful and holistic yoga practice. This practice addresses the physical, mental and spiritual components of addiction and allows our clients to reconnect with themselves, enabling them to cope with addiction triggers and release trauma. While most people will not develop an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, those with a specific mix of genetic, environmental and behavioral factors can develop an addiction, which is a disease. This is where cravings to use alcohol and get drunk are placed in an irrationally high place on a person’s list of priorities.
